Project Brief
Computeam sought a digital agency capable of providing comprehensive marketing support to match their status as a fast-moving, nationwide leader in educational technology. Their ambitious growth targets called for a full-service approach, encompassing a website redesign, rebranding, SEO and PPC support, graphic design, social media advertising, the development of a new training platform for schools, and collaborative vendor campaigns. Phew - that's a lot.
Project Background
Computeam are a leading UK education technology partner, supporting schools and multi-academy trusts with ICT strategy, service delivery, and improvement planning. As the business expanded nationally, their brand and website needed to match the level of professionalism expected by larger MAT decision-makers — and their marketing needed to reflect how those buyers actually research and shortlist suppliers.
About the Project
We built the foundations first (brand, messaging, site structure), then ran an authority-led content programme supported by targeted amplification. The goal was to make Computeam consistently visible where MAT decision-makers do their research — and to report performance in a way that connects activity back to meaningful outcomes, not vanity metrics.

How we do it
Achieving results for Computeam
Website rebuild and rebrand (built for search and credibility)
We rebuilt the site and refreshed the brand so it matched the level of professionalism Computeam needed for large MAT decision-makers. The new structure and page content were shaped around real search behaviour and common buyer questions — making the offer easier to understand, and the next step easier to take.
SEO growth through authority-led content
We focused on content that demonstrates expertise and answers the real questions MAT leaders are trying to solve — then amplified it so it reached the right audience instead of relying on organic discovery alone.
Targeted amplification
Content doesn’t work if the right audience never sees it. We used targeted distribution across channels — particularly LinkedIn and email — to increase repeat exposure to Computeam’s thought leadership during long buying cycles.
PPC and vendor campaigns (aligned to intent, not just clicks)
We supported paid campaigns designed to reach MAT buyers at the moments they’re actively assessing solutions. The goal was relevance and quality — sending the right people to the right message, with landing pages built to match intent and reduce friction.
Two bespoke platforms (supporting growth beyond the website)
Alongside marketing, we built two bespoke platforms to extend Computeam’s value and support their users at scale — strengthening long-term engagement, not just initial lead generation.
“Our business has grown considerably, in part due to the excellent marketing, SEO and website services Sonder offer”

A peak inside the Learning Locker
Learning Locker is Computeam’s online CPD platform for education staff — designed to make training simpler to deliver, easier to complete, and far easier to evidence. We helped shape an experience that works for busy school and trust teams: clear modules, a straightforward learner journey, and the visibility needed to understand uptake and progress without relying on spreadsheets or manual chasing.

Project Background
Computeam supports schools and multi-academy trusts across the UK and needed a consistent way to roll out professional development at scale. The goal was to create a platform that could support day-to-day training needs, keep participation high, and give leaders confidence that learning was being completed — with minimal admin overhead for school business managers and IT teams.
About the Project
We worked with Computeam to design and build a product that’s practical first: intuitive navigation, clear content structures, and an experience that staff can pick up quickly. From the outset, the focus was on reducing friction — so training feels like a natural part of the working week, not another job on the to-do list.
As the platform evolved, we continued to support improvements and refinements based on real-world use, helping Learning Locker grow into a widely adopted CPD hub that supports large numbers of education staff.
What this enabled
Learning Locker gave Computeam a scalable way to deliver consistent training while keeping visibility and accountability in place. For schools and trusts, that means clearer expectations, smoother completion, and better oversight — without the usual admin burden that slows down CPD programmes.
Following the Computeam Compass
Computeam Compass is a secure, collaborative platform that helps schools and multi-academy trusts track and manage progress against the DfE’s digital and technology standards. It turns a complicated set of requirements into clear actions — giving trust leaders visibility, helping school teams share ownership, and keeping evidence organised and ready when it’s needed.

Project Background
Schools and trusts are being asked to demonstrate stronger digital practice — from safeguarding and filtering through to resilience, leadership and day-to-day technology operations. But in reality, evidence is often scattered across policies, folders and informal knowledge held by one or two people.
Compass was created to bring that together in one place: a single, shared view of what’s in place, what’s missing, and what needs attention next — without adding another layer of admin for already-stretched teams.
About the Project
We partnered with Computeam to design and build Compass around real school workflows. That meant clarity over complexity: a structure that aligns to the DfE standards, a simple way to record status and actions, and an approach that supports collaboration across a trust without losing accountability at school level.
We also prioritised audit-readiness. Compass keeps progress, actions and supporting evidence together, so leaders can move from “we think we’ve got this covered” to “we can show it” — quickly, consistently, and with confidence.
The Outcome
Compass gives Computeam’s school and MAT customers a clearer compliance journey: improved visibility, shared responsibility across teams, and a practical way to stay on top of digital standards throughout the year — not just when deadlines or inspections are looming. It supports better conversations, better prioritisation, and a stronger sense of control over risk.
